One of the “Seven Keys To Success in Business” according to Judy Hoberman is effective communication and certified trainer Amy Chodroff embodies that and more.
Amy has spent the past nearly 30 years communicating to radio and television audiences across the country. She currently co-hosts “News and Information in the Morning with Dave and Amy” on AM-570 KLIF in Dallas. Amy is an award winning show host, news anchor and reporter who has been named Best News Anchor in Texas by the Associated Press many times over the past 15 years. She also has one of most recognizable laughs in the Metroplex.
Amy is the consummate storyteller and uses the power of story to engage her radio audience. Over the years, she has interviewed many politicians, celebrities, and sports figures. The coolest thing she ever did on the air was sing with the legendary Kenny Rogers.
In addition to co-hosting her show, Amy endorses many products and services on the air and has been told she could sell “ice to eskimos”. Amy also runs a small marketing company that helps small businesses with branding, social media, press releases, websites and more.
Originally from Boston, Amy graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and has worked at stations in Los Angeles, Orlando, Providence and Upstate New York. She is very excited to spread her wings and be a founding certified trainer at “Walking on the Glass Floor”.
Why I got involved:
I got involved with “Walking on the Glass Floor” because there aren’t enough female mentors for women in radio. As a show host and news anchor, I’ve always been surrounded by male co-workers, often times being the only women in the room. I feel it’s important for women to mentor other women, but also for men to learn how to do the same. “Walking on the Glass Floor” founder Judy Hoberman and I connected immediately when we met and she has become a mentor, role model and friend. She has appeared several times as a guest on my radio show and she speaks my language. I’ve always said telling a story is the best way to connect with your audience, and Judy agrees. I hope my stories will help women become better leaders and and help men learn how to champion women.
